Syphax Village

Manna acquired and substantially renovated and converted the historic Syphax School, located at 1360 Half Street SW into 12 condominiums; and they built 29 new construction townhomes on adjacent vacant land. Construction is complete, and all units are sold and occupied. LISC provided a $125,000 predevelopment loan and $1,000,000 construction loan.

St. James Mutual Housing

Working in partnership with the Harrison Institute of Georgetown University, LISC provided a $25,000 predevelopment grant to help the nearly 50 year old, 107- unit cooperative refinance their property and avoid the possibility of a foreclosure.
