Purchase, renovation and preservation of 60 affordable units in a townhouse complex in far Northeast. The tenants plan to convert their property to a limited equity cooperative. LISC provided $100,000 for the earnest money deposit which gives the tenants enough time to obtain acquisition financing. (Pleasant Park Tenants Association of 2006, Inc.)

Elizabeth Ministries
Acquisition of a 30 unit property on 55th St NE to house young mothers aging out of foster care. The program is designed to address a number of critical issues facing teen mothers - they will provide intensive interventions aimed at improving their outcomes for sustained, healthy adult development. LISC provided a $1 million acquisition loan and a $25,000 grant for start-up operating support. (Elizabeth Ministries)
