* Good Hope Senior Housing
Acquisition and renovation of a vacant property at 1667 Good Hope Rd that will be converted into senior housing. This project will convert the property to 19 efficiencies and 27 SRO units and will provide long-term housing for formerly homeless single adults, seniors, and others with special needs including those in recovery, all with initial incomes at or below 30% of the Area Median Income. The Washington Area Housing Trust is providing their funds through the District's SAFI program which provides interest free acquisition loans to qualified nonprofit developers, and LISC's loan will provide the 50% match required by these funds. Southeast Service Center
Construction of an 8,000 sq. ft. service center on Good Hope Road, SE for medical care and service to the residents of southeast Washington, DC. LISC provided a $375,000 construction loan, and a $30,000 recoverable grant. Construction is complete. The center opened on October 21, 2002. (Bread for the City)
Anacostia Mews 
Through a joint venture development with the property owner, Werner Roberts, AEDC completed the modular construction of 6 new 2-bedroom, 1½ bath fee simple townhomes at 15th and V Streets, SE. The project is complete; all units are sold. LISC provided a pre-development loan in the amount of $49,660. (Anacostia Economic Development Corporation)
Young Street Townhomes 
Through a joint venture with Curtis Development Corporation, AEDC developed 17 newly constructed 3-story, 4-bedroom, 2 ½ bath fee simple townhomes at 22nd and Young Streets, SE. The project was successfully completed; all units have been sold. LISC provided construction financing in the amount of $125,000. (Anacostia Economic Development Corporation)
Small Business Center
Acquisition and renovation of a vacant, two-story commercial property into an office incubator and small business support center on good Hope Road. LISC provided a $15,000 grant. The building is occupied. (ARCH)
