Community Development Support Collaborative

A program of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers and administered by LISC, the Community Development Support Collaborative provides operating support and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations helping to create or preserve affordable housing in Washington DC.

In operation since 1992, the Collaborative is capitalized by pooled funds from the DC Department of Housing and Community Development, local financial institutions, corporations, private and family foundations.

In 2006, the Collaborative will provide a total of $800,000 in operating support to 10 nonprofit organizations:

  • Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development
  • Community Connections
  • East of the River CDC
  • Harrison Institute for Public Law (a program of Georgetown University Law School)
  • Housing Counseling Services
  • Manna Inc.
  • Manna CDC
  • Marshall Heights Community Development Organization
  • Mi Casa
  • So Others Might Eat (SOME)

In 2005, the Collaborative provided $700,000 to support the operations for :

  • Jubilee Housing
  • University Legal Services
  • Harrison Institute
  • Jubilee Enterprise of Greater Washington
  • East of the River CDC
  • Manna Inc.
  • Marshall Heights Community Development Organization
  • Mi Casa
  • Four Walls
  • Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development
