African Heritage Drummers and Dancers (AHDD)
For nearly 50 years AHDD has provided at-risk youth with a creative outlet during out of school time. Participants learn African dances, culture, and are given a safe place to express themselves. Currently located at 4018 Minnesota Ave. NE, AHDD plans to move to Good Hope Rd. SE in 2006.  LISC provided grant funds to support their 2005 Summer Enrichment Program. Willis Greene Single Room Occupancy (SRO)
Substantial renovation and conversion of a vacant building at 4425 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE into SRO housing. Occupied and operational. LISC provided a $38,139 recoverable grant. (Marshall Heights Community Development Organization)

3120 Massachusetts
Acquisition and rehabilitation of an 11 unit apartment building at 3120 Massachusetts Ave S.E. Units are occupied. LISC provided a $49,000 recoverable grant and $133,000 loan. (Marshall Heights Community Development Corporation)

55th Street NE
Acquisition and conversion of a four-story vacant building into 6 units of transitional housing. The units are occupied. LISC provided a $45,000 recoverable grant. (Marshall Heights Community Development Corporation)
