Banneker Ridge
MHDCO and CIH Homes, L.C., formed a joint-venture partnership to construct 27, detached single-family homes on two parcels of land at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue, Ridge and Anacostia Roads, SE. Homes range from 1,424 to 1,796 square feet. Base prices range from $129,900 to $154,900. Construction is complete and all units have been sold. LISC provided a $75,000 recoverable grant and a $325,000 construction loan. (Marshall Heights Community Development Organization)

Marshall Heights Workforce Development Initiative
The Workforce Development Initiative of Marshall Heights Community Development Organization (MHCDO) is a comprehensive job readiness, job placement and retention program. In 2001, over 100 neighborhood residents participated in the program and 70 were placed in jobs. Supported by LISC technical assistance and grant funding from our partner Verizon. MHCDO Headquarters
Construction of new headquarters - a 12,000 sq. ft., one story building at 3939 Benning Road, NE. Marshall Heights moved into its new building in January 1999. LISC provided an $850,000 interim construction loan. (Marshall Heights Community Development Organization)

3423 Minnesota Avenue
Rehabilitation and conversion of a vacant building into a 4 unit condominium building. All units are sold. LISC provided a $38,000 loan. (Marshall Heights Community Development Organization)

East River Park Shopping Center
