Male Engagement Network (MEN) - Men@Home Coordinator Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC) and it's partners within the Male Engagement Network (MEN) to support and expand our housing equity work and amplify the Network’s leadership on housing stability and family unification as well as fuel its housing justice and coalition building strategy. The MEN@Home Coordinator will lead, facilitate and support our work driving systems change; and assist in identifying a regularity path that removes barriers and create new modes to amplify our impact.

MEN is a coalition of community organizations and men of color promoting civic engagement, financial stability, access to affordable housing, and criminal justice reform to improve the lives of men of color living and working in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan. MEN is grounded in racial and ethnic equity, deep collaboration, co-creation, solidarity and galvanizing the power of our communities. The MEN@Home Coordinator will work to build capacity of our peer networks to support the mental health and well-being of men of color and create safe spaces where they receive and give support, learn and teach, heal and be healed.

The MEN@Home Coordinator will work with MEN members to expand the engagement of our network to empower men of color as agents of systems change, to enable community leaders and other participants in our programs and members of our community to be champions for housing stability and to lead an equitable access strategy specifically focused on the issues that most affect the housing opportunities available to men of color.

United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley
- Community Engagement Manager with the Mary Ellen McCormack community in South Boston

The Community Engagement Manager will join UWMB’s Community Impact team to focus on South Boston generally and the Mary Ellen McCormack housing development in particular. A successful candidate will be ready to represent UWMB in developing relationships with community leaders and groups including nonprofits and public housing tenants in South Boston. Projects include:  Surveying residents, Participating actively in community life in South Boston, Using input collected to design and execute community events, volunteer events and activities, community resource fairs, and other activities, Recruiting residents to participate programming and activities. The Neighborhood Developers - Community Engagement and Structural Racism Researcher - The Community Engagement and Structural Racism Researcher will be responsible for researching evidence-based local approaches to tackling structural racism and displacement.  Activities will include, but are not limited to: Meet with community stakeholders to document their observations / knowledge / experiences of structural racism and displacement, and brainstorm ideas for local efforts to reduce both. Research models of local efforts to reduce structural racism. Research models of local efforts to combat displacement. Write paper detailing findings and describing local approaches to tackling structural racism and displacement that might have traction in our communities.

The Boston Tax Help Coalition - The Virtual Tax Services LISC AmeriCorps will play a lead role in the Boston Tax Help Coalition’s Economic Impact Payment (EIP) Assistance Program. Provide low income residents of Boston with information and guidance on the IRS’s EIP (a.k.a. stimulus) payment efforts. Provide guidance through the relevant application processes, while also troubleshooting issues and providing access to services where possible. Assist with enhancing this program, in addition to providing support on training, supervision and implementation. Help with implementing BTHC’s Virtual Tax Preparation service. Provide feedback on possible improvements, while also assisting with the virtual tax preparation service expansion via volunteer training and program supervision.

The North Shore Community Development Coalition (NSCDC) -Two positions -  The Community Engagement Associate will kick-off a new initiative that NSCDC launched this year called the Resident Ambassador Program. The member will lead this new effort and will need to be in constant communication with the residents to ensure that the tasks are being executed. The member will provide ideas and tools to support the 5 selected Resident Ambassadors. In addition, the member will support NSCDC in conducting Community Engagement participatory research to get community input on what Point Neighborhood residents want their neighborhood to look like in the next 5 years. Conduct outreach within the community to identify potential partners, leaders, and to inform local residents about relevant programs and resources. Foster stronger relationships between the North Shore CDC and Point neighborhood residents. Support the development of the Resident Ambassador program. Conduct intake, case management, and individual supportive services.
