Our Mission

Together with residents and partners, we help forge resilient and inclusive communities of opportunity across America–great places to live, work, visit, do business and raise families.

LISC Jacksonville

In 1999, the Community Foundation, the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation and Mayor John Delaney invited LISC (the largest community development support organization in the US) to bring its community development model to Jacksonville.

Since then, LISC Jacksonville has invested over $500 million in urban core communities for homes, apartments and commercial spaces in Jacksonville's distressed neighborhoods.

Who we are

Investor
Providing access to capital though our own investments and the multiplier effects they bring.

Connector
Connecting partners to resources and each other to advance community-driven priorities.

Innovator
Designing and implementing creative solutions to drive systems change.

What we bring

Local Expertise & Partner Network
Deep local presence and a robust set of relationships to help us deliver on the ground.

National Scale
Nationally recognized strategies that can replicate solutions and foster ecosystem-level impact at both local and national levels.

Financial Inclusion
Decades of experience providing 'but for' capital where it would not otherwise flow & serving as a 'bridge' to accessing the capital ladder.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice
Poverty and other forms of inequity and injustice that LISC works to help redress are largely rooted in this country’s historic and systemic racism, as well as in other forms of discrimination. Pursuing our mission demands that we conceive and implement every aspect of our work through the lenses of equity and anti-racism. LISC is wholly committec to living this approach.
