NFL Foundation Grassroots Community Football Field RFP

We’re excited to announce the NFL Foundation Grassroots Community Football Field Program Request for Proposals. The NFL Foundation and LISC provide non-profit, neighborhood-based organizations with financial and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of local football fields. Grants of up to $250,000 will be awarded for eligible capital improvement projects.

You can see the impact of past NFL Grassroots grants transforming athletic fields across Kansas City – places like Boys & Girls Club, Central High School, Bishop Ward, Northeast High School, University Academy and most recently in 2018, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy. Since 1999, over $2.25 million in NFL Grassroots grants have been awarded to 15 athletic fields in the metro.

Parks and ball fields can serve as tremendous community assets because they offer opportunities for recreation, education, and relaxation that contribute to the local quality of life, especially for young people. Since 1998, the NFL Foundation and LISC have joined forces to committee nearly $46 million to build and refurbish 330 neighborhood football field across the US.

LISC will host a informational webinar; on June 19, 2019 for prospective applicants to go over the threshold requirements of the NFL Grassroots Program and answer any questions related to the RFP.

Deadline for receipt of proposals is August 30, 2019.
