Partner Highlight: LAFH & CRCD's Residences on Main Project

LISC invests to develop and preserve affordable housing and support local organizations that make home accessible to low-income Americans across the country.

The joint venture partnership between LA Family Housing (LAFH) and Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) announced the groundbreaking of their newest project, The Residences on Main. This new construction project is a 49 unit affordable housing development providing permanent homes for 25 chronically homeless Transition Age Youth and 24 homeless families earning 30-50% area median income (AMI) or below. Located at the corner of 69th & Main Streets, the four-story community will feature on-site supportive services, community rooms, a computer lab, toddler play space, and a community garden. CRCD, the regional coordinator for the Youth Coordinated Entry System, will provide on-site social services to the residents.

LISC LA provided a $500,000 predevelopment loan to help LAFH fund early costs of creating this new community.

Affordable housing preservation and development have been at the core of our work from the outset. LISC LA has leveraged $2.1 billion and deployed $855 million in grants and loans to aid in the establishment of over 10,000 affordable housing units and 1.9 million square feet of commercial space across the greater Los Angeles region, providing stability to individual families and entire communities.
