Capacity Bulding

LISC was founded with the mission to help organizations become strong and stable neighborhood institutions characterized by effective and responsible fiscal management and capable of carrying out a range of community revitalization activities.

Our job is to make this happen through through financing, in the form of operating grants and working capital and providing training and learning opportunities that support equitable development in neighborhoods. We provide trainings and networking opportunities throughout the year to help build the field.
