Brew City Match announcing winners and taking applicants for third round of competition

Brew City Match, an initiative focused on catalyzing small business growth and commercial real estate development in neighborhoods surrounding downtown Milwaukee, will begin taking applications July 10th to determine a third cohort of small business owners seeking financial and other types of business development support.

Two Milwaukee businesses awarded grant through LISC's Small Business Relief Fund

The LISC Small Business Relief Fund awarded $10,000 to small businesses — especially minority- and female-owned — facing economic stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the nation. Aloekui Soaps and Taste of Love Catering were two Milwaukee-based businesses who benefited from these national grant funds.

MILWAUKEE (July 7, 2020)—The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) has named the former chairperson of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors to lead its local investments in affordable housing, businesses, health, and jobs in underserved communities, especially those where a history of racial discrimination has left lasting scars.
