Since our inception, affordable housing preservation and development has been at the core of our work. LISC NYC and its affiliates have invested $2.7 billion, leveraging an additional $6 billion for low- and moderate-income communities across New York City. This has resulted in over 38,000 affordable homes built and preserved and 1.8 million square feet of retail and community space created, stabilizing both individual families and whole communities.
LISC NYC connects our affordable housing partners to financial and technical resources that deliver results. We work with community development corporations, supportive housing organizations, and other mission-driven affordable housing developers on projects that are typically not of interest to conventional financial institutions because of their smaller scale or technical complexity.
