Vaccine Access Fund

In April 2021, PayPal, PayPal Giving Fund, Uber, and Walgreens collaborated to create a new Vaccine Access Fund in which they jointly donated over $11 million dollars and allowed customers to donate directly to the fund. The fund was created to help connect people without transportation to access free rides to COVID-19 vaccination sites, particularly those in underserved communities hardest hit by the pandemic. The coalition of companies selected LISC to manage the Vaccine Access Fund. LISC local offices across the country identified community based partners that are working for equitable vaccine access, giving them new tools to solve transportation problems, and supporting their collaboration with residents, health care providers, and local leaders
