Artscape DIY
Artscape is a Canadian organization that has transformed a portfolio of underutilized buildings across Toronto into dynamic community assets. Artscape DIY is the group's step-by-step attempt to share what it's learned online.
The site includes case studies, tools and resources, downloadable templates and examples, films, guides and articles--all dedicated to help community groups and their partners develop "sustainable, affordable space for culture and creativity which responds and contributes to the transformation and revitalization of communities."
Artscape DIY includes everything from discussion of why "place matters" when considering arts-based development to more than a dozen case studies that delve into the specifics of each project's space, plan, operations and more.
