Academic Excellence Finds a Permanent Home in Brooklyn

Brooklyn Prospect Charter School educates more than 2,100 children and youth in grades K – 12, with a focus on preparing a diverse student body to have a positive impact on society and develop a lifelong passion for learning. LISC is providing a $12 million loan to support the renovation of a building that will become a permanent home for their elementary school.

Investing in Education that Centers the Needs of Indigenous and Latinx Communities

In October 2022, LISC Charter School Financing closed on a $360,000 loan to the American Indian Academy of Denver (AIAD), allowing AIAD to expand beyond grades 6-9 and run through grade 12. The loan is credit-enhanced through a U.S. Department of Education award to LISC that is being specifically deployed to support schools with BIPOC leaders.

Fueling Educational Excellence for Black Youth in East Austin

The LISC Charter School Financing team hit the ground running during the summer back-to-school season with a $10 million loan to Texas Empowerment Academy. The loan will help support the ground-up construction of an 81,838-square-foot, two-story school facility in Austin, Texas.
