LISC Philadelphia is a champion for equitable community development; working alongside residents and partners to forge inclusive communities of choice and opportunity.
Our work as an intermediary organization hinges on the insight, experience and expertise of hundreds of community development groups rebuilding neighborhoods across the country. The better they do their job, the better we can do ours--and the more communities we support together. Through financing, direct program support, capacity building and working capital we help our partners and neighbors create more equitable communities.
LISC’s distinctive value proposition lies in our experience and ability to simultaneously serve as a key partner in all five of the following roles:
Philadelphia’s underserved neighborhoods become better places to live, work, do business and raise families. Since 1980, Philadelphia LISC has invested more than $435 million to build or preserve more than 8,500 affordable homes and to develop more than 2.3 million square feet of retail, community, and educational space.
