LISC New York City is dedicated to helping underserved New York City neighborhoods become healthy communities of choice – good places to live, do business, work and raise families. By nurturing effective collaborations, we ensure that low-income residents share in growth and prosperity.
Healthy, resilient and inclusive neighborhoods don’t just happen. LISC has nearly four decades of experience helping local champions to build a more inclusive and equitable city.
We carry out this work by connecting partners to financial and technical resources that deliver results.
Over the past 37 years, LISC NYC has invested over $2.7 billion, leveraging an additional $6 billion in low-income communities. This has resulted in over 38,000 affordable homes built and preserved, as well as 1.8 million square feet of retail and community space created.
