LISC National

Why LISC

We know what you need to know

For 40 years, LISC has been leading investment and working hands-on in many of the places now designated as Opportunity Zones. In fact, 924 Opportunity Zones are in LISC's footprint, where we've done some 861 investments.

Since 2008, we have invested
$2.3 billion
in areas designated as Opportunity Zones

We know the complex ins and outs of bringing stakeholders together, of easing the passage of capital into challenging markets, and of assembling projects that change lives and make neighborhoods better places to live, do business, visit and raise families. And we'll be harnessing the full force of our tax credit expertise through our affiliates National Equity Fund and New Markets Support Company, as well as the lending muscle of our SBA affiliate, immito.

Our network

NEF

Our affiliate the National Equity Fund is a respected national leader in the affordable housing arena, and has syndicated $14 billion in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits over the past three decades. NEF's investments have created nearly 2,600 quality affordable housing developments which, in turn, revitalize communities and strengthen local economies.

NMSC

The New Markets Support Company has 15 years of experience helping investors and developers use New Markets Tax Credits to drive economic development projects and the creation of community facilities in underinvested places. NMSC increases access to capital by tailoring its products and services to meet the needs of our clients and partners.

immito

Our newest affiliate is the SBA lender immito. Staffed by veterans in the field of small business lending, immito is a non-bank lender with a national footprint that expects to make $100 million in loans over the next three years.
