The Roadmap for Increasing Black Homeownership was released nearly one year ago in October 2022. LISC Greater Cincinnati and Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) Cincinnati invite you to join us for the next webinar in the Housing Our Future (HOF) webinar series. Elisabeth Risch, Executive Director of HOME and HOF Steering Committee member, will be hosting a panel to discuss the Roadmap for Increasing Black Homeownership. The Roadmap is a focused set of six recommendations taken from HOF designed to reduce the gap between White and Black homeownership in the Cincinnati region. In 2021, the Black-White homeownership gap was nearly 40 percentage points in Hamilton County. The homeownership rate for Black households was 33% and for White households was 70%.

Over 30 organizations and partners joined HOME in November of 2022 to support this agenda and work to implement key proposals that would do the most to increase and preserve Black homeowners in Cincinnati and Hamilton County. As we approach the Roadmap's one-year anniversary, panelists will join Elisabeth to discuss how lending practices, tax policies, zoning, and the availability of home repair resources have changed over the past year, and what still needs to be done to begin to create a level playing field for Black homeowners in the region.
