Capacity Building Funding and Technical Assistance
Though our capacity building work, LISC NYC seeks to build a strong, sustainable, and resilient community development sector across New York City. LISC NYC’s community-based partners have been rooted in the communities they serve for decades, and have the connections, know-how, and trust to serve NYC’s most disinvested communities. However, these organizations have difficulty accessing the resources necessary to invest in their organization, a problem that has been made worse during the COVID-19 pandemic when needs and costs have increased but revenues have in many cases gone down.
Without the resources to support the development of their organizational infrastructure, staff leadership development, programmatic excellence, and long term strategic planning, these organizations run the risk to their long-term sustainability.
With a racial equity lens, LISC NYC works closely with our partners to assess their needs and to tailor our support to those needs.
