About the project
Alpha Sharp Development Partners (ASDEV) was founded in 2017 by Leslie Byrd and Iyibo Jack. ASDEV has two primary goals: 1. Add 800 units of affordable and workforce housing the in the Puget Sound area by 2017; 2. Build affordable starter homes to increase BIPOC home ownership.
ASDEV's work is focused on the Puget Sound with most properties currently located in Tacoma, WA.
LISC provided $1.80 million in acquisition financing to support the development of Thompson120, a new construction rental building in Tacoma, WA. The project will include 120 one- and two-bedroom units, 20% of which will be affordable at 70% AMI. The building will also include a number of green features, including efficient water heaters and heat pumps, a green rooftop and energy star appliances.
