Capacity Building

Making any significant, long-lasting change in a community requires local partners on the ground. The greatest solutions come from local organizations because they know their communities. Based on this philosophy, LISC was established with the goal of assisting these neighborhood groups in growing into powerful institutions that can carry out a variety of community revitalization initiatives, as well as become strong and stable neighborhood institutions.

LISC Upstate SC strives to build the capacity of local non-profits and CDCs through technical assistance, training, and funding support. The Upstate region has a strong, engaged network of organizations, and we envision helping them scale up their work to have a greater impact. LISC Upstate SC is cultivating relationships with local CDCs and other nonprofits to understand their capacity building needs to target our support accordingly.
