- Where We Work
As a community development intermediary, Duluth LISC’s role is to identify needs and opportunities, leverage resources and convene partnerships that “break out of the silos” that often restrict a community's ability to move forward. We do this by providing technical assistance and financing, bringing new resources to the community and building the capacity of organizations to implement programs and projects that ensure that both people and places will benefit.
As part of a national network, we are able to leverage funds and expertise via National LISC that would not otherwise be available in Duluth. Since we opened in 1997, we have brought in over $74 million in direct investment from national LISC and its affiliates.
National Equity Fund: As a tax credit syndicator, LISC's National Equity Fund, Inc. raises money from investors and identifies low incoming housing projects in which to invest that capital.
New Markets Support Company: LISC's New Markets Tax Credit activities stimulate the investment of private capital in the communities that LISC serves.
MetroEdge: LISC's national commercial corridor program.
