Saadia Mingo opened Koald Beauty Spa in Northgate in July 2022. She’s since learned that owning a spa isn’t as relaxing as going to one. Running your own business is “a lot” she said with an exacerbated laugh. But with a team of supporters behind her, Mingo is making it happen.
One Cincinnati man is making it easier for African Americans to build their professional network through a nonprofit aimed at providing mentorship, connections, and education to economically Black communities. Michael Moore founded the Black Achievers in 2018, which now operates in 12 cities across the United States, including Cincinnati, Augusta, and Dallas.
