LISC Jacksonville Welcomes New Class of AmeriCorps Members

Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Jacksonville (LISC Jacksonville) recently welcomed 13 new AmeriCorps members who will help support the agency’s community redevelopment initiatives through work with LISC Jacksonville partner agencies.

Those LISC partners include Ability Housing, Catholic Charities, Operation New Hope, Family Foundations, Groundwork Jacksonville,  Lutheran Social Services,  the Northwest Jacksonville Community Development Corporation, the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council, the New Town Success Zone and the United Way of Northeast Florida.

The new class of LISC Jacksonville AmeriCorps members are:

LISC Jacksonville Executive Director Janet Owens said the new class of AmeriCorps members will be an important part of the organization’s continued efforts to revitalize Jacksonville’s most challenged neighborhoods.

“We are thrilled to welcome the new AmeriCorps class to our team,” Owens said. “By working with our partner agencies, these members will help us in building healthy, sustainable communities throughout Jacksonville.”
