Hamilton Community Health Network’s(HCHN) Community Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) Grant, a program of the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau (BJA) which also partners with Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), has made significant progress focusing on the public health and safety of residents in North Flint. As a result of this grant, stakeholders and numerous community partners organized North Flint Revitalization Initiative and the Illumination Community Change Project (IC2). These CBCR Grant initiates will help to reduce and prevent crime, engage residents to participate in community safety, and increase educational and economic opportunities.
