East Bluff Development

In 2013, the East Bluff was selected as the beneficiary of a targeted investment strategy as a result of a $3 million grant awarded to Greater Peoria LISC from the Illinois Attorney General's office. These funds, in conjunction with financial and programmatic support from key public and private partners, advanced a neighborhood stabilization strategy that will develop new affordable and supportive housing units, acquire and rehabiliate existing housing units, demolish dilapitated and vacant structures, and provide housing counseling services to residents in the service area.

LISC Central Illinois has lead a consortium of public and non-profit partners to experience the following outcomes to date:

    • Completed 16 units of supportive housing
    • Completed 6 units of new construction single-family housing
    • Acquired, rehabilitated, and sold four single-family homes
    • Demolished 20 blighted structures
    • Hundreds of individuals receiving housing counseling services
