Join us as we celebrate the 4th anniversary of our award-winning LISC research portal, SchoolBuild: From Idea to Construction. In October 2017 we launched SchoolBuild with the mission of demystifying the facility development process. To celebrate, we wanted to highlight some of the progress and achievements we have made over a very unpredictable and challenging year.
Since our inception, SchoolBuild has provided a healthy selection of articles, guides, and resources that shared best practices from our partners from all over the charter school facility sector. This year, thanks to our SchoolBuild team, school leaders, and partners we have been able to provide you with technical assistance, virtual events, and webinars including:
- Hosting our “What Will Charter Schools Facilities Look Like in 2040?” webinar on January 26th, 2021 where we discussed the future of charter school facility upgrades and future potential charter school expansions that we may be seeing in the next 20 years.
- Forming a partnership with the Charter Support Unit and Kitamba to update the charter school facility financing programs available to charter schools in Florida, Nevada, Texas and Washington D.C.
- Updating the descriptions, state resources, and additional information included in all of our state pages on SchoolBuild
We even kicked off our School Leaders Who Inspire Series. So far in this new series, we have had the honor to celebrate the accomplishments of 10 of our most prominent and impactful educators that we have had the pleasure of working with.
