About the project
Alta Housing was founded as Palo Alto Housing Corporation in the early 1970s. The non-profit organization builds, develops, acquires, and manages low- and moderate-income housing in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, providing high-quality, safe housing and subsidized rents to the greatest degree possible, and support residents in reaching their goals through a Resident Services program.

LISC provided a $5.55 million acquisition loan to Alta Housing for a new 43 unit affordable housing development for seniors in Mountain View, CA. The project will have 42 units restricted to individuals making no more than 50% of AMI plus one manager's unit. The borrower intends to build the development to green building standards (exact standards are to be determined). $2.45 million was sold to the Bay's Futures Fund as a participation.
