About the project
Cherri, a fine arts gallery owner for over 30 years, turned her passion for chocolate into a business by opening Cheri's Chocol'Art in Kalamazoo, MI. With a love of both art and chocolate, her eye for high quality and artful presentation has earned her a steady and growing stream of faithful patrons.
After opening and operating Cherri’s Chocol’Art in its retail location on the Kalamazoo Mall, Cherri was ready to expand equipment in order to increase production of chocolates, caramels and other confections and expand wholesale production. LISC approved a $42,460 loan to support the iconic local business and help Cheri's Chocol'Art purchase equipment.
