Last month, the STRENGTHMATTERS Financial Management Conference was held in Dallas, the only event of its kind serving the strategic and finance arms of the community development sector. Over 300 affordable housing developers, CFOs, board members, CDFIs, auditors, and syndicators attended and participated in many lively and informative plenaries and sessions. LISC was able to sponsor a number of participants who have reported that they were energized by the learning and networking opportunities. Topics included strategic discussions on capital and change management, as well as workshops on financial reporting, management, real estate and lending.
Since 2007, Strength Matters has served as the nonprofit affordable housing industry’s go-to information network for financial learning. We bring together hundreds of developers, lenders, investors and accounting professionals to collectively advance the vision of a thriving, well-capitalized, high-performing nonprofit affordable housing sector.
A collaborative of three national networks of nonprofit owners and developers in the affordable housing field – Housing Partnership Network, NeighborWorks America and Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future – Strength Matters is dedicated to providing members with new and unique resources that spotlight financial reporting, access to enterprise capital and professional development.
Strength Matters papers, case studies, webinars, reports and other tools are available through subscription to this website to housing enterprises, those that invest in them and the financial professionals who serve them.
