GMDC Ozone Park Industrial Center

About the project

The Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center (GMDC) is a premier citywide nonprofit industrial developer in New York City. Since its inception in 1992, GMDC has rehabilitated seven industrial buildings in Brooklyn for occupancy by small manufacturing enterprises and artisans. GMDC has played a vital role in helping meet New York City’s need for affordable, flexible production space for small and medium-sized manufacturers.

GMDC is located in Brooklyn, New York and owns and operates industrial/manufacturing properties across New York City.

A LISC construction loan of $2.90 million financed GMDC's renovation of an 88,500 square foot industrial property located in a small manufacturing district at 94-15 100th Street in Ozone Park, Queens. The site, which is called the GMDC Ozone Park Industrial Center, was redeveloped into a multi-tenanted industrial center for small and medium-scale manufacturing. This project, which partners with the City of New York, is the first public-private partnership of its kind in the city, and it supports the development of quality industrial jobs in Queens and the surrounding area.
