About the project

Founded in 1998 to address the severe need for high-quality, affordable healthcare, HealthCore Clinic, Inc. (HCC) provides integrated primary care, mental health, and substance abuse services to residents in northeast Wichita. With a patient-first approach and strong ties to the local community, HCC offers a wide host of services including medical, dental, behavioral, and pharmaceutical support.

LISC provided HCC with $2,567,972 in mini-permanent financing to renovate and expand its main clinic site from 9,200 square feet to a 41,000 square foot facility. The new clinic will be equipped with green features such as low energy fluorescent lighting, HVAC units with economizers and computerized climate controls, grey water reuse, storm water capture, and use of recycled materials. The added space will also enable HCC to increase its care capacity from its current 4,266 patients to upwards of 20,000 patients.
