LISC provided a $1.77 million construction loan to Norfolk Design & Construction LLC to support the construction of affordable homes on vacant, city-owned parcels. The proposed project will construct two single-family homes and two 2-family homes, with the five of the six resulting units being deed restricted to households earning 80-100% of AMI. The sixth unit will be sold as a market-rate home. This project creates opportunities for first-time home buyers to purchase a home and build wealth, and supports a developer of color to grow its firm's balance sheet and scale its business.
