Steps to Success: A Toolkit for Health Centers Navigating a Capital Development Venture

The doctors, nurses and administrators at local health centers may be experts in diagnosing the flu or mending broken bones, but when it is time to renovate or expand their facilities, health centers may find themselves out of their depth. Capital Link, a nonprofit that works with community health centers to plan and execute capital projects, has released a new toolkit to help health centers undertake new construction, renovation and major equipment purchases. Steps to Success: A Toolkit for Health Centers Navigating a Capital Development Venture (registration required) walks users through a series of eight critical planning steps that will build the foundation for successful projects, including assessing financial strength, creating a business plan and identifying capital sources. Each step includes links to related resources for further exploration.
