State Farm Commits $2 Million Grant to LISC to Create Communities of Opportunity

LISC announced a $2 million, one-year grant from State Farm to support financial stability, commercial revitalization, and affordable housing in underinvested neighborhoods across the U.S. The new funding continues a partnership that began more than 20 years ago.

Since 2000, LISC and State Farm have worked together to create communities of opportunity across the country. We have invested over $153 million which has leveraged $18 billion from public and private sources, helping to:

  • Create 73,400 affordable homes and apartments
  • Develop 24 million square feet of retail and community space, and
  • Serve 249,000 people through income- and wealth-building initiatives.

That’s a lot of impact over 20+ years and we’re not finished yet!

Our partnership continues with a new $2 million grant from State Farm, which will support financial stability, commercial revitalization, and affordable housing in underinvested neighborhoods across the U.S. To celebrate this renewed commitment, we look back at what our partnership has accomplished over the past year.
