Assistant Program Officer - Financial Opportunities

Greater Kansas City LISC supports the income and credit building of residents in its geographic focus areas through its Financial Opportunity Centers (FOC) Network. A strategic partnership between LISC and United Way of Greater Kansas City, the FOC Network is comprised of local agencies that have adopted a model to improve the financial bottom line for low-to-moderate income families. This model provides individuals and families with services across three interconnected areas: employment placement/skill improvement; financial counseling/coaching; and access public benefits/income supports. The program measures success using four key indicators –increases in net income, net worth, credit score, and job placement.

The Assistant Program Officer will report directly to the Financial Opportunities Program Officer, and will be a part of Greater Kansas City LISC’s overall efforts to invest in strengthening low-income communities and work closely with the staff to ensure that all relevant programmatic linkages are made.
