Flint Financial Opportunity Center (FOC)

Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), in collaboration with Genesee County Habitat for Humanities (GCHFH) opened up the new Habitat Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) for the City of Flint and Genesee County.This collaboration will form LISC’s 2nd FOC.  FOC’s are poised to be a personal financial service center focusing on the financial bottom line for low-to-moderate income individuals 18 years and older. The FOC program will be available to residents not only in the City of Flint but the surrounding communities in Genesee County, as there are limited Financial Coaching resource facilities. Individuals will have the opportunity to work with FOC staff for one-on-one Financial/Education Coaching, Employment Services and Income Support Access. GCHFH has successfully partnered with Hurley Food FARMacy and several educational facilities and is very excited to be able to assist individuals at the various sites by offering flexible services at different locations.
