Rural LISC is pleased to recognize U.S. Bank for its generous grant in support of Rural LISC’s Cohesive Economic Development Arts and Culture Initiative as well as its sponsorship of the 2018 Rural LISC Annual Seminar, "Recognizing Opportunity: Resilience, Recovery and Revitalization in Rural America."
In December 2017, the T.L.L. Temple Foundation provided Rural LISC with a generous grant to support disaster recovery efforts in rural communities across southeastern Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The storm inflicted over $125 billion in damage, tying with Hurricane Katrina as the costliest tropical hurricane on record.
In 2017, Rural LISC was awarded an Innovation Bonus grant, pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation and managed by IDEO.org, to challenge traditional norms and help Rural LISC launch itself into a more innovative future, known as “futurizing.”
