Rural Rockstars Dunn & McChesney Promotions Announced

If you've ever met Julianne Dunn or Keegan McChesney, you immediately recognize their exceptional talent and genuine commitment to support rural communities as great places to live, work, and innovate.

With that, it is our pleasure to announce their promotions to Senior Program Officers on the Rural team.

Julianne joined the Rural LISC team as a Program Officer on the Workforce + Small Business team. In this role she managed the Rural Works program, a workforce development initiative that leverages the momentum of rural communities to reimagine and redevelop the workforce ecosystems that impact their communities. In her new role on the rebranded Workforce + Financial Prosperity team, she has added Financial Opportunity Centers, small business, and rural Safety & Justice programs to her portfolio of work.

Julianne has a B.A. in political science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Masters of Public Health from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health, and a Masters of Public Service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and currently lives in Kansas City, Kansas.

Keegan uses his experience in affordable housing, climate, and environmental health to provide technical assistance, grant management, and policy advocacy focusing on rural housing and community development on the Rural team. Currently, he oversees Rural LISC's Healthy Housing Initiative, which has provided nearly $4 million in grants for healthy, green homes across rural America.

His previous experience includes roles at Enterprise Community Partners, as well as various public agencies and community-based organizations. He holds a Joint International Masters of Science in Sustainable Development from universities in Germany, Italy, and India, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College.
