Affordable housing alone cannot ensure that a community will become vital and resilient. Thriving neighborhoods are made up of residents who feel confident that their incomes will grow, their job prospects will improve, and their lives will become stable. They also include vibrant commercial corridors, quality education and opportunities for a healthy and safe lifestyle.
Both locally and nationally, LISC engages in a variety of special initiatives that support revitalization efforts in our challenged urban communities.

- Groundwork Jacksonville
Let's Tackle Climate Change with a Focus on Equity. LISC Jacksonville and two of its program partners, Groundwork Jacksonville and North Riverside Community Development Corporation, are featured in the Environmental Defense Fund’s four-part video series called Keeping Florida, Florida. The Jacksonville focus is how equity-driven organizations are working with City leaders to build climate resilience and equity for all populations. Click here to view video .
