Community Engagement

In the past 2 years, LISC CT has begun more direct community engagement, with the goal of supporting resident leadership so that residents are truly driving the development of their neighborhoods.

The key to closing equity gaps and resolving systemic issues affecting the community is direct participation by impacted residents in the development and implementation of solutions and policy decisions. Community voice and engagement is a priority for LISC. We ask residents to inform our understanding of critical issues and to create solutions that respond to and include our entire community.

LISC staff engages regularly with community, grassroots organizations, educational institutions, places of faith and businesses to understand the concerns of residents and to shape our work to best support those concerns. LISC participates in community, state and municipal level meetings, as well as healthcare initiatives to address the overall well being of the neighborhoods in which we work.
