Bryan Franklin, Deputy Director

Bryan Franklin joined LISC DC in March of 2020 as a Program Officer. He became Deputy Director of the D.C. office in July of 2023. Today he leads LISC's place focused community development work in D.C. and Prince George's County, the organization's regional expansion, and oversees the office's development activities.

Bryan joined LISC after serving as Director of U.S. Programs for PeacePlayers, which use the power of sport to unite, educate and inspire young people to create a more peaceful world. Bryan lead the charge in adapting PeacePlayers international model to the U.S. context, overseeing the launching of programming in five cities across the country, and co-leading Peaceplayers relationship with Nike who funded the work. Bryan also spent two years living and working in South Africa as an International Fellow with PeacePlayers. From 2011 - 2013, Bryan served an Americorps Vista member at Rising Tide Capital in New Jersey. Bryan has a Master's in Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Technology Management from Steven's Institute of Technology, where he played basketball all four years.

Bryan is an ordained Minister at Peace Fellowship Church in Deanwood. He currently lives in University Park, MD with his wife Candace and daughter and Zuri.
